Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse bearing a central blue enameled NSFK insignia in the form of Icarus overlaid by a mobile swastika, in turn defaced by a white propeller aircraft, circumscribed by an inscription of REICHSWETTBEWERB FR MOTORFLUGMODELLE 1938 (NATIONAL COMPETITION FOR MOTORIZED MODEL AIRCRAFT 1938), the reverse with a
