This tapestry depicts one of twelve hunting scenes in the Maximillian series woven in the late 16th century for the Archduke Maximillian who was later to become Emperor

This tapestry tells the story of collecting grapes then pressing them to make wine

It shows a woodpecker sitting in the branch of a fruit tree and features Morris' distinctive ornate background of leaves and his legendary attention to detail

This is a remarkable representation of the grape gathering and the wine press on a 'Mille Fleurs' background
