Needle Palm - Rhapidophyllum hystrix (3 gal.) puzzle but as a short-lived perennialNeedle Palm (Rhapidophyllum hystrix) is an elegant and hardy shrub, naturally growing in clumps with a distinctive fan shape. Reaching up to 6 feet tall and wide, its compact form makes it an excellent choice for a statement plant in gardens or as a striking addition to large containers. True to its name, this palm features sharp spines, so gloves are essential when handling. While Needle Palm tolerates full sun, it thrives best in part to full shade
